JTown Street Fair on Lake Travis

Nothing beats a small town festival, especially one in a park on Lake Travis surrounded by the Texas Hill Country.

There was a market area with multiple booths, a children’s area, live music, and a “Taste of North Lake Travis” tent, where several local restaurants offered samples.

I was proud to be one of the sponsors of the Lucky Ducky Rubber Duck Derby.

Hundreds of rubber ducks were dropped into Lake Travis from a helicopter. They had all been “adopted” and the first to cross the finish line won their owners $1000.

Golden ducks were also in the race, adopted on behalf of local charities.

The lucky winner was Jonestown’s Night Sky Advocacy group.

Well done, City of Jonestown and the North Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce! You provided an opportunity, and showed what is possible when a community works together.
